I’ve always loved books, as a little girl Roald Dahl and Shirley Hughes were among my favourite authors and then as a pre teen I discovered Judy Blume . These days finding time to read a good book is a luxury but I love reading to my children. A few weeks ago my daughter brought home a children’s biography about Coco Chanel- I was in love instantly and probably more excited than my 7 year old to read the book. Not only do these books look beautiful but I love the idea of a collection of children’s books celebrating strong women.
Discovering more titles in the series was great, we have since read the Maya Angelou book many times which my daughter loves as you see can from the main photo. Yesterday I ordered the Frido Kahlo and am excited for my seven year old to discover the Mexican artist. I wish these books had been around when I was little but atleast I get to read them to my children. These chic clever children’s books are introducing the younger generation to many great women of different races and backgrounds.
New titles launching in September 2017 include Rosa Parks, Amelia Earhart and Audrey Hepburn.
